DeAngelis Defies the Rain to Conquer IceBreaker 35 in NASCAR Regional
Wisconsin Dells WI 4/12/26-Hubertus, Wisconsin’s John DeAngelis didn't just outpace the competition at Dells Raceway Park—he beat the weather, too. DeAngelis powered his way to victory in the IceBreaker 35, headlining the NASCAR Regional 602 Outlaw Late Models presented by Lefthander Performance.
Race HighlightsA competitive field of 21 Outlaws took the green flag for the 35-lap main event. The race quickly evolved into a high-stakes duel between Nick Schneider and DeAngelis, who traded blows for the top spot throughout the early stages. The Contenders: Midway through the feature, Brad Warthan surged into the mix, making it a three-car battle for the lead.
The Turning Point: With 15 laps remaining, DeAngelis seized the lead for the final time. Shortly after, Warthan's bid for the win ended prematurely due to mechanical failure.
The Finish: As DeAngelis took the checkered flag, the looming clouds finally broke. He crossed the line just as the rain began to fall, securing a dramatic win.
Following the DeAngelis to the line was Schneider, Tanner Berge, Charlie Bates and Kenny Storkson. Tanner Berge was fast qualifier with a New Track Record lap of 13.813.
