TY FREDRICKSON DOMINATES NSTC HUGH DEERY BADGER STATE CLASSIC

Wisconsin Dells WI-Minnesota’s Ty Fredrickson at age 16 just became the youngest winner of the National Short Track Championships by dominated the Hugh Deery Badger State Classic at the National Short Track Championship Sunday afternoon at Dells Raceway Park in the Alive For 5 Super Late Models presented by Wegner Automotive. Starting from the outside of row 2 the 16 year old Minnesota hot shoe would work to the lead quickly. Fredrickson would be challenged on two early restarts but would show great poise and skill never letting go of the top spot. The field would the go 74 laps uninterrupted to the checkers with Fredrickson pulling away the whole time. Fredrickson was followed to the line by Gabe Sommers, Casey Johnson, Max Kahler and Luke Fenhaus. Fredrickson earned $5650 for the win including the $500 halfway Quality Freight Rate bonus. Casey Johnson earned a Faster than a Speeding Bullet Qualifying Trophy with a lap of 13.091. James Storey and Nick Egan would win the Odd/ Even qualifying races. The Alive for 5 Super Late Model Championship will be decided Saturday October 18th at the Falloween 100.
