KYLE KLUETZ & WAYLON ROBINSON MAKE WAVES IN HOBBY STOCK SPLASH

Wisconsin Dells WI-Kyle Kluetz of Schofield WI and Waylon Robinson of Beloit, WI split a pair of features in the 189 Custom Hobby Stocks presented by Benninger Concrete on Kalahari Splash Night. In Feature one Kyle Kluetz and Scott Riedner would bring an incredibly well matched field of Hobby Stocks to the line for the first of two 25 lap events. Kluetz would gain control but would be under heavy and constant fire from Scott Riedner. Riedner would pop the nose out front a few times but Kluetz was able to fight back on the bottom and take it back. Contact between the leaders would send the 26 of Riedner back through the field and allow the 01 of Kluetz to lead. Though he was challenged by a hard charging Tony Ciano, Kluetz would collect his first ever Feature win over Ciano, Waylon Robinson, Andy Moore and Steve Dobbratz. In the second 25 lapper Scott Tiedt and Easton Riedner brought the field to the green. Riedner would first fight off a veteran in Steve Dobbratz to retain the the lead but then it was season points leader Waylon Robinson who came calling for the lead. The duo of young drivers would duel side by side for over 15 laps before Robinson was able to clear the Riedner and drove off to the feature win. Riedner would settle for second followed by Steve Dobbratz, Matt Cleveland and Scott Riedner. Waylon Robinson was Fast Qualifier on the night with a lap of 16.931
