LEMKE RETURNS TO VICTORY LANE IN NASCAR OUTLAW LATE MODELS

Wisconsin Dells WI-John Lemke of Savage MN returned to his winning ways in the NASCAR Weekly 602 Outlaw Late Models Presented by Lefthander Performance in the Kalahari Splash at Dells Raceway Park Saturday night. Rick Bolton and Adam Hansen brought a beautiful field of Outlaw Late Models to the line for their 35 lap main event. Second year driver Adam Hanson would shoot out to the early lead as the battle would rage on behind him. Jon Lemke who started outside row two fought forward to chase down the Hanson. Hanson’s lead seemed insurmountable until a late caution would bring Lemke to Hanson’s rear bumper with just 11 laps remaining. The caution was just what the doctor ordered for Lemke as he would wrestle the lead away from Hanson and drive off into victory lane. Lemke was followed to the line by Hanson, Bobby Wilberg, Brad Warthan and Mason Hellenbrand. In earlier action Brian Johnson Sr. would win the Diamond Racing wheels Fast Dash while Mason Hellenbrand and Rick Bolton won the heat races. Brad Warthan was fast time with a lap of 14.059.
