LARRY DEVITO CAPTURES NASCAR MOD DETJENS MEMORIAL

Wisconsin Dells WI-Larry DeVito of Camp Douglas WI broke through for a big win in the NASCAR Weekly Blystone Towing Mods on Larry Detjens Memorial Night. James Burgess of Altoona WI and Corey Swanson of Reedsburg brought a beautiful field of Mods to the line for their Detjens Memorial feature as Swanson jumped out to the early lead and led the opening laps. On lap seven Larry DeVito climbed from his outside row 2 starting spot to claim the lead. A late caution for debris would bring the field to DeVito’s rear bumper but he was up to the challenge as he powered to the victory. DeVito was followed to the line by Steve Schulz Waukesha WI, Matt Clossey Beloit WI, Corey Swanson and Dan Howard Baraboo WI. Bill Prietzel would win the Diamond Racing Wheels Fast Dash while Chuck Muller won the heat race. Mike Sandholm of Oconomowoc WI was fast qualifier with a lap of 14.261.
