MACKESY & JANKOWSKI SPLIT CWRA DETJENS MEMORIAL TWINS

Wisconsin Dells WI-Mark Mackesy and Corey Jankowski split the Larry Detjens Memorial twin features for the CWRA Super Late Models at Dells Raceway Park. In Feature one Rob Christen and Monte Gress brought the field to the line. Gress would lead the first three laps before Tyler Sauter would take the top spot. On lap 7 Mark Mackesy who started outside row 3 would take the lead from Sauter and drive away to an insurmountable advantage as he would power to the line followed by a hard charging Corey Jankowski. Tyler Sauter, Paul Paine and Dillon Mackesy would round out the top 5. In the Second feature Monte Gress and Jeff Weinfurter would bring the field to the start with Weinfurter gaining the early edge. Weinfurter would lead the first five laps before Dillon Mackesy would track him down. Mackesy would lead until lap 17 would bring a red flag and a chance for Corey Jankowski to restart outside row one. On the restart Jankowski powered ahead and walk away to the win. Jankowski was followed to the line by Dillon Mackesy, Mark Mackesy, Darek Gress and Paul Paine. With his combined finishes Corey Jankowski was crowned the overall winner of the Larry Detjens Memorial Race.
