FENHAUS FABULOUS IN ICEBREAKER 100
Wisconsin Dells WI 4/12/25-Luke Fenhaus of Wausau, WI captured the Icebreaker 100 Presented by Wegner Automotive on Saturday afternoon at Dells Raceway Park and joined the only other two time winner of the event Ty Majeski for those honors. A full house on the hill watched pole sitter Jordan Devoy of Lake Geneva WI and super late model rookie of the year contender Penn Sauter of Deforest bring the 25 car field to the green with Devoy taking the early lead for the first ten circuits before Jacob Goede of Carver MN would take over the top spot. Goede would lead the next twenty laps before serious pressure from fellow Minnesotan Tristan Swanson would maneuver his way by looking strong as the field approached the midway portion of the race. Enter Ryan Farrell from Big Bend WI who had other ideas as Farrell was eyeing the $500 Quality Freight Rate halfway bonus as he took the point on the top side on lap 45 but Swanson was not to be denied as the pair swapped the lead with Swanson eventually grabbing the halfway prize which let Fenhaus close the gap in third. Fenhaus would grab the lead on lap 55 and not look back cruising to his second Icebreaker 100 victory and the Alive for 5 Series point lead for the 2025 season. Fenhaus was followed to the line by Tristan Swanson, John DeAngelis Hubertus WI, Ryan Farrell and Casey Johnson of Edgerton would round out the top five. In earlier action Michael Bilderback was fastest in qualifying topping the 35 car field of Alive for 5 Super Late Models with a new track record lap of 13.068 (91.818mph) breaking the old mark set by Ty Majeski. Travis Volm of Kronenwetter, WI & Randy Sargent of So Beloit Il would win the qualifier races, Casey Johnson & Ty Fredrickson were the winners of the odd/even dashes and James Storey of Burlington, WI and Bobby Kendall of Montello, WI punched their tickets to the feature event by winning the last chance races. The Alive For Five Super Late Models return to Dells Raceway Park Saturday June 7th for the Trickle 99.
