FENHAUS CAPTURES FALLOWEEN 150 / SOMMERS ALIVE FOR 5 SERIES CHAMPION

Wisconsin Dells WI 10/19/24-Luke Fenhaus put in a dominant run at the Falloween 150 series finale Presented by Wegner Automotive. Fenhaus would powered his way from the sixth starting spot into the race lead before the halfway break claiming the $500 bonus from Wegner Automotive. The second half of the 150 lap race would provide high drama and Championship ramifications as the best in the Midwest went to war in their final race of the 2024 season. Fenhaus was just too strong as he fired to the line in front of Max Kahler, Jacob Goede, John DeAngelis Jr., and Derek Lemke. Gabe Sommers came into the Falloween 150 with a three point lead after the preliminary races. Ty Fredrickson and Casey Johnson were tied behind him. Before the green flag flew a championship contender fell by the wayside as the 5 of Johnson felt something wrong in the power plant in warm up laps. Johnson was forced to retire before the final battle even began. Sommer and Fredrickson would battle hard through the whole race with the upstart rookie in the 36 coming into the break with a one point lead over the prior series champion. They would continue their battle into the final sprint to the finish. Contact between the two would send both cars into the front stretch wall ending Fredrickson’s bid for the Championship. Sommer’s crew however were able to get repairs made to continue. This would be the difference in the Championship battle as Sommers was able to limp his battered machine to the line in the 20th position and claim his second Alive for 5 Super Late Model Championship. Ty Fredrickson captured the 2024 Alive for 5 Series Rookie of the Year Award and Jeff Storm topped the point standings in the Quality Freight Rate Hard Charger Award for the Alive for 5 Series in 2024 earning him a $2000 Bonus from Quality Freight Rate. The Alive for 5 Super Late Models return to action in the spring of 2025 for the Icebreaker 100 on Saturday afternoon April 12th.
