Paul Paine & Derrick Van Dreel Split CWRA Walbeck Classic

Wisconsin Dells WI-The CWRA Super Late Models raced Twin 30 Lap Features as part of the Walbeck Classic on Truck Country Night at the Races. In Feature #1 Paul Paine would drive forward from his 4th starting spot to battle late with Darek Gress ultimately working past him to take the lead with a handful of laps remaining. Paine would slip away to collect the checkered flag in the first 30 lap feature. He would be followed to the line by Derek Gress, Corey Jankowski, Derrick Van Dreel and Mark Mackesy. In Feature #2 Derrick Van Dreel would march forward from his seventh starting spot to battle in the final laps with former DRP Pro Late Model Champion Jesse Bernhagen. Bernhagen would lead lap 29 but not lap 30 as Van Dreel would fly around the outside off of turn 4 and take the win at the line. Van Dreel would be followed to the line by Bernhagen, Paul Paine, Corey Jankowski and Jeff Weinfurter. The CWRA Super Late Models Return to DRP Saturday September 23rd as part of the Midwest Championship Showdown.
