AYRTON BROCKHOUSE SCORES THIRD INEX WIN AT DRP

Wisconsin Dells WI-Ayrton Brockhouse of Shakopee, MN kept his Championship hopes alive with a big feature win in the GNL INEX Legends. Elliot Weiler and Adam Hanson brought the field to the line for their 25 lap feature. Hanson would gain the early lead and have an impressive run at the point. Hanson would lead until Former Track Champion Dillon Schwanbeck would take the lead just past the halfway point. Schwanbeck’s reign over the field would be a short on as 3 laps later current point leader and Fast Time Qualifier (15.497) Jacob Tiegen would go past for the lead. Bad luck would strike Tiegen as he would have the steering break while leading with a mere eight laps to go forcing an early end to his night. Schwanbeck would re-take the lead under caution as the Five Star Concrete and Excavating Lane choice barrel made for some late race strategy. Schwanbeck would bring the field back to the final restart alongside second place point’s competitor Ayrton Brockhouse. Brockhouse who came in facing a 53 point deficit now had a chance to pull himself back into the point’s battle. It was a chance he would not miss as he past Schwanbeck in the closing laps for a huge victory. Following the thirteen year old Minnesota racer to the line was Schwanbeck followed by Mark Anderson Jr., Rose Borntreger and Elliot Weiler. Mark Anderson Jr won the Fast Dash as Russ Weiler and Jake Baker claimed the heats. Only two races remain in the battle for the GNL INEX Legends Points Championship. Jacob Tiegen holds a slim 20 point advantage over Ayrton Brockhouse and it will be a fight to the finish. The GNL INEX Legends are back in action at DRP August 26th as part of the Walbeck Classic Presented by Truck Country of Deforest WI.
