Badger State 125 to Johnson

Wisconsin Dells WI 8/24/19-Casey Johnson of Edgerton WI captured the Badger State 125 Presented by Ho-Chunk Gaming Wisconsin Dells over Menomonee MI driver Dalton Zehr in a thriller Saturday night at Dells Raceway Park. Andrew Morrissey and Skylar Holzhausen bought the field to green for the 125 lap affair with Morrissey taking the early lead before Holzhausen using the high groove worked his way past to take control of the point. Holzhausen was in front but not alone as he was stalked by the 2018 ARCAMWT Champion Dalton Zehr, Zehr applied the pressure and by lap 28 grabbed the lead and would hold the point thru the first segment of the 125 lapper. Casey Johnson started pressuring Zehr after the 75 lat break and would take the lead on lap 92. With 25 laps to go it was Johnson, Zehr and now Ryan Farrell of Big Bend, WI made it a trio at the front with Zehr now on the top side of Johnson and Farrell applying the pressure on the low side but Johnson would not be denied the $4500 winners check and held on for the victory with Zehr second, Farrell Third, with Minnesota's Dan Fredrickson fourth and Rich Bickle rounding out the top 5. In Earlier action it was Zehr picking up the DeAngelis Construction Fast Qualifier Award and an extra $250 with a time of 13.164 90.246mph. Qualifier race winner was Austin Nason, Andrew Morrissey won the odd dash with Skylar Holzhausen won the even dash. Super Late Models will return this Saturday Night Aug 31st for the ARCA Midwest Tour Escape to Wisconsin 100 and again for the Alive for 5 Championship on Saturday Oct 19th for the Falloween 150.
