Wisconsin Dells WI-Hunter Stenson captured his first Pro Late Model Feature win of 2023 on Kalahari Resorts and Convention Center Night at DRP. Kevin Kulka And Colton Morgan would bring the Powerful Pack of Pro Late Models to the line for their 50 Lap Main Event. Colton Mogan would win the initial fight for the lead but Kulka followed close in tow. Morgan would lead the first 28 laps fighting off the 25 multiple times in the process. Meanwhile behind the battle for the lead Hunter Stenson Nick Nolden and Championship Points leader Mike Lichtfeld would start to climb from deep in the pack to challenge for top 5 positions. The first of this group to reach the front was the 2 of Hunter Stenson as he would pass Kulka for second on lap 26 and Morgan just 2 laps later. Nolden and Lichtfeld would break through and battle for second with 10 laps remaining. Lichtfeld who took The Black Oval Promotions Ultimate Challenge electing to start shotgun on the field found himself second with 9 laps to go and a 2.5 second gap to close went to work. The gap proved to be just a little too big as even with the help of lapped traffic the 44 couldn’t chase down the 2 of Stenson as he would collect the checkered flag. Stenson was followed to the line by Lichtfeld, Nolden, Morgan and Matt Urban. Mike Lichtfeld was fast qualifier on the night with a lap of 14.246. Frank Beldowski won the Diamond Race Wheels Fast Dash while Mike Ehde and Thayran Rezin won the heats. Next up for the UMA Pro Late Models is Round 3 of the Pro Late Model Triple Crown Presented by Brewster’s Lanes on August 19th.
