SALO WINS FIRST SPORTSMAN FEATURE

Wisconsin Dells WI- Derrin Salo broke through for his first DRP Sportsman Feature win in the Chasing Daylight Animal Shelter make up Sportsman feature. Henry Vian and Derrin Salo brought the stacked field of UMA Sportsman to the line for their first of two features on the night. Vian would gain the early advantage and lead the first nine laps before the hard charging 6 car of Salo would finally be able to end the hotly contested battle at the front. Salo would clear Vian as the field would continue to fight behind him. Dave TRute and others would steadily work through the field eventually breaking out if the hornets nest to battle with Vian for the runner up spot. Vian would occupy the Points leader as laps ran out handing a first Career DRP Sportsman feature win to Derrin Salo as he would cruise into victory lane collecting the 6’5” trophy provided by Chasing Daylight Animal Shelter and ME Motorsports. Salo would be followed to the line by Trute, Vian, Nick Bruley and Brandon Birdsill. The UMA Sportsman return to action August 19th as part of the final round of the Pro Late model Triple Crown presented by Brewster’s Lanes.
