TWO PETE FOR MOORE IN UMA 602 LATE MODELS

Wisconsin Dells WI-Pete Moore of McFarland WI claimed his second 602 Outlaw Late Model Feature Win of 2023 on Chasing Daylight Animal Shelter Night at The Races. Mike Winters and Seth Lootans brought the Stacked field to the green for their 35 lap Main Event. Winters jumped out to the early lead and immediately fell into the clutches of Pete Moore. The longtime short track Legend went directly to work on the 77 of Winters, as they battled at the front the battle for third on back was a thrilling spectacle as upwards of six cars battled for the final podium spot. Brad Warthan and Tanner Berge would break away and join a spirited battle for the top spot. Pete Moore would utilize an appearance from the Five Star Concrete and Excavating Cone to pull to the outside of Winters after a quick caution for a spin off turn four. Moore would power by on the outside taking the lead in what would prove to be the final restart. Winters would attempt to fight back to no avail as the rain would start to fall on Dells Raceway Park. As the race was more than half over it was deemed a complete race awarding Pete Moore the victory. Mike Winters finished Second followed by Brad Warthan, Tanner Berge and Dennis Prunty. Brad Warthan was fast qualifier with a lap of 14.224. Ethan Rose won the Fast Dash and Pete Moore won the heat race.
