KARTER STARK UP TO THE CHALLENGE IN MIDWEST DASH SERIES

Wisconsin Dells WI-Karter Stark takes the whole field challenge in the Midwest Dash Series and comes out on top pocking an extra $100 for starting at the rear of the field at the Trickle 99 Presented by Lube USA. Shawn Kemnetz and Lyle Phillips Brought the field to the line for the 30 lap A-Main. Phillips had trouble on the start which opened the door almost immediately for Multi Time MWD Series Champion Phil Malouf to take the lead and try to separate himself from the swarm behind him. Malouf would lead the field through multiple cations as the racing was fast and furious for the highly modified 4 cylinder cars. Mark English would battle for the lead with Malouf and take it on lap ten and try to race away. While the battle at the front was sorting out Teenage Wheelman Karter Stark was working his way forward after taking a whole field challenge electing to start in the truck for a shot at an added cash prize. The 92 would be one of the few MWD Series cars to be able to use the concrete on the bottom groove at DRP and he would use this advantage to pass and avoid mishaps on the speedway. At the halfway point Stark would pass Malouf for the second spot and set his sights on English who had built a 3 second lead. Stark would hit his marks and used the shorter way around the track to catch English with just a handful of laps remaining. The young driver out of Marshall would Take the lead after a brief fight for the top spot and cruise to victory all the way from the back of the field. English would finish second followed by Malouf, Michael Meharg,and Tim Finstad. Karter Stark would score Dash time with a 15.589 while Shawn Kemnetz and Phil Malouf would win the heat races.
