TRIFECTA FOR HOFFMAN IN DRP BANDITS

Wisconsin Dells WI-Lodi’s Jordan Hoffman stays hot as he fights his way to his third Doug’s Northside Auto Bandit Feature of 2023. After the original start was marred by a first lap crash into turn 1, Ashtin Schultz and Stephanie Wilson led the 20 car field to the green for their 20 lap feature. Wilson would best the rookie to her inside and drive off to the early lead. The 16 would lead the initial 6 laps until she was tracked down by the 12 driven by Steve Ecker. Ecker would take the lead and try to get away from the fast approaching 20 car of Jordan Hoffman who had climbed from his 10th starting spot to challenge for the top spot. With just 7 laps remaining Hoffman was credited with the lead and although Ecker put up a good hard fight he would have to settle for second as “The Waterboy” would power on to the checkered flag. Ecker was second, followed by Tyler Custer, Stephanie Wilson and Jim Lapp. Jim Lapp was fast time with a lap of 16.945. Tyler Custer won the Fast Dash and the heat races were won by Ron Myers and Ronnie Coppernoll. Hoffman has showed no mercy in the early part of the season but with many dates left and the ever evolving UMA Bandit class it would be a mistake to miss a single lap of this hard racing class. The Doug’s Northside Auto Bandits return to DRP next week June 17th as part of the Pro Late Model Triple Crown Round 2 presented by Logan’s Heroes Bar.
