MINNESOTA'S MOHN CAPTURES DRP SUPER LATE WIN

Wisconsin Dells WI-Minnesota’s Billy Mohn makes the drive worth it with a Super Late Model A-Main win on Quality Freight Rate night at the races. Jesse Bernhagen and Billy Mohn brought a stacked field of UMA Super Late Models to the stripe under an ominous full moon for the Quality FreightRate 50. Mohn would take the initial lead and start to pull away as the field fought on behind him. He would continue to pace the field as a group comprised of Max Kahler, Brady Bill and Braden Berge stormed forward from deep in the field. Just as Fast Time Qualifier Max Kahler broke through into second and started to chase down the 8 car the red flag came out for an incredible incident on the front stretch. After clean up and safety check of drivers involved we were back to green flag action with Kahler going right to work on Mohn. Kahler would take the top spot and start to pull away. The caution would wave late setting up a classic battle to the finish. Kahler would choose the bottom and Mohn would join him on the outside front row. The two would fight it out side by side for the final remaining laps with Mohn utilizing the outside to claim the A Main win. Kahler would finish second followed by Braden Berge, Darren Jackson and Brady Bill. Max Kahler set the fast time with a lap of 13.495. The Diamond Wheels Fast Dash was won by Steve Lichtfeld and the heat was won by Billy Mohn. The UMA Super Late Models return to DRP June 24th in the Alive for 5 Series Trickle 99.
