BRANDON JUNGET TAKES BANDIT LAST LAP THRILLER

Wisconsin Dells WI 7/30/22-Brandon Junget wins a last lap thriller on Chasing Daylight Animal Shelter night at the races. Adam Dickert and Jim Lapp brought an impressive field of Doug’s Northside Auto UMA Bandits to the stripe for their 20 lap A-main feature. Immediately at the line the racing was at a fever pitch as the veteran Lapp and the rookie Dickert swapped the top spot as the field fought hard behind them. The Junget brothers Brandon and James fought to the front and would battle for the lead just before halfway. James Junget’s night would end at the halfway point as he had an engine expire into turn 3 while fighting for the lead. After the caution the Five Star Concrete and Excavation Lane Choice Cone would bring the nights faster qualifiers into the fray as Brandon Junget restarted from P1. Jordan Hoffman fighting his way to the front from his 4th row staring spot now found himself side by side with Junget as the laps rapidly dwindled away. Hoffman would gain the advantage as the white flag flew with Junget hanging tough on the inside. Hoffman had the advantage entering turn 3 but Brandon Junget would not settle for second as he applied the coveted chrome horn in the center of the corner and won the drag race to the line. Both drivers exclaimed how exciting and fun the race was in their victory lane interviews in a great show of sportsmanship and hard racing. The duo was followed to the line by Steve Ecker, Jeremy Bredeson and Conrad Rothenburger. James Junget won the Doug’s Northside Auto UMA Bandit Fast Dash while Josh Mazur and Stephanie Wilson won the heat races. Fast time on the night was set by Jeremy Bredeson with a lap of 16.814
