LICHTFELD FIRST TO LINE IN UMA PRO LATE MODELS

Mike Lichtfeld was the first to the line in the Gandrud Performance Parts Pro Late Models 50 lap main event presented by O’Reilly Auto Parts Saturday night at Dells Raceway Park. Don Gaserude and Hunter Stenson brought an AMAZING field of Pro Late Models to the green. Stenson took the early lead and immediately tried to check out. Meanwhile in the back of the pack the top qualifiers started slicing their way to towards the front. Early in the race a multi car dust up on the front stretch put us under a very long red flag situation as Jake Jump and rookie contender Ronnie Osborne would become hooked together. When racing was able to resume it was back to business and the action was high paced. At lap 16 Morgan Schissel was able to wrestle the lead from Stenson. Lichtfeld would chase down the leader and make the winning pass just before the halfway point and cruise to the checkers. Lichtfeld was followed to the line by defending Pro Late Model Champion Jesse Bernhagen, Schissel was third Stenson would finish fourth and Brady Bill would round out the top 5.
In B main action for the Gandrud Performance Parts Pro Late Models Jason Stark would take the win he was joined in the O’Reilly Auto Parts 50 lap feature by Braden Berge, Thayran Rezin and Larry Scotten.
The Diamond Racing Wheels Dash was won by Morgan Schissel. The heat races were won by Tod Stenson, Larry Schotten and Hunter Stenson.
Fast time for the 31 Gandrud Performance Parts Pro Late Models was Mike Lichtfeld with a lap of 14.035 (84.646mph)
