PATE WINS UMA MODS LAST LAP THRILLER

Wisconsin Dells WI 5/14/22-Matthew Pate of Menomonee Falls won a last lap thriller in the Blystone Towing and Recovery UMA Mod 25 lap Main event. Bill Tandetzke and Brian Muick led the field to the green with the 11 of Tandetzke powering to the early advantage. The battle raged on behind your leader as Matt Pate and Dave Edwards closed in from far back in the field. After a late race restart Tandetzke would find himself in a side by side battle to the finish, while Pate seemed to have the advantage in cornering Tandetzke’s grip off proved to be superior as the battled hard to the checkers. The leaders caught massive lapped traffic on the white flag lap which allowed Pate to get to the inside of Tandetzke into 3 and 4. Pate had the advantage out of the corner and took the win despite Tandetzke going to his well of power one last time. The margin of victory for Matt pate was a mere .057 seconds. Tandetzke would settle for second after leading every lap but the final one, rounding out the top 5 was Dave Edwards,Jerry Blystone and Brad Wildes. The Diamond Wheels fast dash was claimed by Jerry Blystone and the Blystone Towing and Recovery heat race was won by Dan Howard. Of the 14 Blystone Towing and Recovery UMA Mods that took time Justin Okruhlica was fastest with a lap of 14.447 (83.054 mph)
