Assembly Products Shootout to Mike Lichtfeld

Wisconsin Dells WI 7/31/21-Mike Lichtfeld of Portage WI continued his incredible season by setting fast time and winning the 75 lap Assembly Products Summer Shootout Saturday Night at Dells Raceway Park, Lichtfeld took home a whopping $5100 for his efforts on the night.

Brady Liddle (Oregon WI) and Mahlon Borntreger (Elroy WI) brought the 25 car field to green with Liddle taking control early. As the field stretched out with Liddle out front and Borntreger fading back to fourth, Lodi driver Stephen Manke was strong hold down second in a hornets nest of company with Lichtfeld and 2020 DRP Champion Zack Riddle applying the pressure. Lichtfeld would make his move on the top side past Manke setting his sights on leader Liddle leaving Manke to fend off Riddle for third. With a clear track ahead the fast qualifier Lichtfeld was able to catch and pass Liddle for the lead. Once in the lead Lichtfeld would only be slowed by three caution flags the rest of the way and over came any challenges sent his way from the double file restarts. Mahlon Borntreger would battle back late in the race to finish in second with Riddle claiming the third spot and Brady Bill (Reedsburg WI) finished fourth with Manke rounding out the top five. In earlier action Lichtfeld was fastest in qualifying with a time of 14.054 84.531mph, Stoughton's Riley Stenjem and Wisconsin Dells Driver Huter Stenson would win the qualifying races, Liddle and Borntreger would split the odd/even fast dashes, Chase Randerson won the B-Main transferring himself to the A-Main.
