Auby Completes DRP Acquisition from Lensing
Wisconsin Dells WI 3/26/21-On the brink of a new racing season Jerry Auby (an old school racer himself) has completed the acquisition of Dells Raceway Park from Wayne Lensing who has owned the facility for the past decade. Dells Raceway Park opened in 1963 as Dells Motor Speedway during a boom in racetrack construction that started in the 1950's and continued into the 70's. Through Dells Motor Speedway's very humble early years, the crowds became larger and eventually an upgrade was in order. In 1971 the track and support facilities were completely reshaped into its present form, and with numerous additions, remodels and upgrades Dells Raceway Park is one of the finest and most modern facility of its kind in the country. DRP host weekly shows (most on Saturday nights) from May through September, and special events in April, and October, DRP is a leader in providing exciting family entertainment. In 2012 Wayne Lensing purchased the speedway & Jerry Auby was then brought in as General Manager and has led DRP very successfully up to present day, and now Jerry Auby has taken over full control of the speedway as owner heading into the 2021 racing season. “This year we are planning a very exciting and busy racing season, hosting great weekly shows and awesome special events” Auby stated. “We invite you to join us this summer as I truly believe Dells Raceway Park offers the best in Family Friendly high speed motorsports entertainment in the Midwest”.
Dells Raceway Park will open the 2021 Season on Sunday Afternoon April 18th with the ICEBREAKER 100 with spectator gates opening at 11am for the special event, qualifying will be at 12:30 and racing at 2pm. Adult general admission tickets are $20, Seniors (65 and over) and Students (ages 13-17) & Military are $15 with kids ages 12 and under admitted free. General admission tickets can be purchased in advance at dellsracewaypark.com Dells Raceway Park is located two miles west of I-90/94 at Exit 85 (Rocky Arbor) just off of Highway 12.
