Prunty goes 2 for 2 in 602 Outlaw Late Model Tour races in 2022.
Oregon WI 5/1/22-Dennis Prunty of Allenton, WI captured the 36 lap 602 Outlaw Late Model feature Presented by Wehrs Machine & Racing Products at Madison International Speedway as part of The Joe Shear Classic Sunday afternoon. Kevin Kulka and Brad Warthan brought the field to the green and after an eventful start to the race, the field of 21 cars settled in for some great racing. Prunty charged past race leader Warthan on lap 14 and would not relinquish it again. After a rash of restarts and late race cautions he was able to fight off challenges from multiple cars to claim the win. He was followed closely to the line by Tom Carlson, Jason Stark, Alex Hartwig and Brian Johnson Sr. In earlier action it was Tom Carlson fastest in qualifying with a mark of 18.682 96.349mph. The Diamond Racing Wheels Fast Dash was won by Greg Bowers of Waterloo WI. The Performance Parts Supply heat races were won by Hunter Stenson of Wisc Dells and Brad Warthan of Sparta WI.
