WISCONSIN DELLS, Wis. (May 14, 2012) - On March 15 Wayne Lensing completed his purchase of Dells Raceway Park. Less than two months later, he is a week from opening the gates for the facility's 50th season.
In the short time he has held the reigns Lensing has had plenty to address. From concessions to race procedures, Lensing has been hands on with many of the track's operations.
"It's overwhelming because we have a lot of things to do in a short amount of time," he said. "There are so many things you have to do from liquor license to food license. There are things that I had to change and meet code on that I had no clue. All of this stuff takes time and time goes by fast."
Although overwhelming Lensing admits that he has enjoyed the challenge. "It's been educational, pleasurable, exciting and a hell of an experience," he said.Read More
