About Jacob
(Last name pronounced TY-gun)
Jacob started racing go-karts throughout the Midwest in 2013. In 2018, at the age of 12, he moved up into a Legend Car and has been growing as a driver ever since. He has finished in the top ten in points at Hawkeye Downs Speedway 2019, 2020 and 2021.
Jacob captured his first Legend car career win in June 2021. He went on to become the Iowa State Semi-Pro Champion in 2021. Jacob made his first appearance at INEX Asphalt Nationals in Virginia in October 2021 and then started 2022 Season at Winter Nationals in Florida 2022.
Jacob spends most of his free time preparing the car for each weeks race or studying and learning how to be better than the last race. In addition, to racing, Jacob is heading into his Senior year high school in the Fall. He has a part time job as well as working for his dad when needed.
