Wisconsin Dells WI-The exciting Alive for 5 UMA Super Late Model Series returns to Dells Raceway Park in 2025 for five spectacular events. The popular five race series which pays $5000 to win each event in the Alive for 5 Championship Chase which offers over $125,000 in prize money up for grabs.
A couple changes have been made to the Alive for 5 Series in 2025 according to the Unified Motorsports Association. One change is the Badger State and Falloween events will now be 100 laps according to series director Jerry Auby. The reason for the change according to Auby is an effort to reduce cost for the race teams, Auby stated “We tried a few experiments with a fuel only break and a full ten minute break, neither worked very well & interrupted the flow of the race. We are a grass roots racing series and a lot of teams do not have the larger fuel cells to make the extra laps without stopping; however they can make 100 laps.” Auby also stated “the stress on a race team’s budget for doing a full infield break requires extra crew members, pit carts, emergency tires and other tools to be transferred into the infield and the time it takes to accomplish does not work well for smaller teams and causes some to leave their cars at home for the longer events. We are looking for a 100 lap race run straight thru with endless entertainment for our fans all to fit in a one hour window when it comes to an A-Main event” The other change for 2025 is the series going back to the original point format in which the series takes the top 4 finishes to determine the Alive for 5 Series Champion. This gives each driver a “mulligan” if he has one bad event or cannot make one race due to other commitments. “This is the original format” Auby stated, “it is much like what the NASCAR weekly short track series does, when a driver reaches a certain number of events they can start to throw out their lesser finishes to win a regional or national championship”
The Alive for 5 Series will kick off at Dells Raceway Park with the 11th Annual ICEBREAKER 100 on Saturday afternoon April 12th with qualifying at 12:30pm and racing beginning at 2pm. Then the action heats up for the summer with two races in June, The Trickle 99 on June 7th and the Dairyland 100 on Saturday June 28th. The series returns to action at DRP on August 9th for the Badger State 100 and the Alive for 5 Season Championship will be The Falloween 100 on Saturday afternoon October 18th.
