Wisconsin Dells WI 5/14/22-Portage’s Mike Lichtfeld uses strategy and speed to climb the ladder from his fourteenth starting spot to claim Round 1 of the Pro Late Model Triple Crown. Brandon Reichenberger and Matt Urban brought a stacked field of Gandrud Performance Parts Pro Late Models to the green for the 60 lap main event presented by The Thirsty Beaver of Reedsburg. Urban would claim the initial lead and start to build on it as the field battled behind him. Hunter Stenson would be the first to challenge for the lead and the two would fight side by side for multiple laps as the field drew closer. The Five Star Concrete and Excavating Lane Choice Cone would make a few appearances which not only brought the field together but brought Lichtfeld and others forward to challenge late in the race. Lichtfeld would make the final pass for the lead in the late stages of the race, the cars that chased him through the field would make it into the top ten but not be able to chase him down. Lichtfeld was followed to the line by Morgan Schissel,Hunter Stenson,Jesse Bernhagen and Nick Nolden. The Thirsty Beaver 20 lap Bmain was won by Lodi Wisconsin’s Stephen Manke. Braden Berge,Kendrick Kreyer, and Scott Luck also transferred to the 60 lap main event. Randy Sargent won the Diamond Racing Wheels Fast Dash with Colton Morgan ,Thayran Rezin and Brandon Reichenberger claiming the Thirsty Beaver of Reedsburg heat races. Morgan Schissel was fastest in Gandrud Performance Parts Qualifying for The Pro Late Models out of 33 cars. His fast lap was a 14.128 (84.929 mph)
