WISCONSIN DELLS, WI (Monday, May 4, 2009) - Dells Raceway Park, an ASA Member Track, kicked off their season with a full field of cars as the Limited Late Models, Super Stocks, Pure Stocks, Bandits, and the United States Super Trucks took to the track.

With 23 Limited Late Models, competition was fierce during the 60 lap Special Feature. Corey Jankowski, who moved up a division this year from Super Stocks to Limited Late Models, started on the pole and didn't look back. After timing in second and starting in 9th position Mike Ehde worked his way up the field to second by lap 54. He challenged Jankowski for the lead but six laps wasn't enough to work his way past Jankowski.

Rocky Breezer set fast time during qualifying with a 14.216. Kurt Clapper took top honors during the 6 lap Fast Dash. 14-year-old Robert Kendall, started off his rookie season in the Limited Late division by winning his heat race. Andy Niles also picked up a heat win.

Mike Lichtfeld started his season out strong by setting fast time with a 14.757 and getting his first quick qualifier this year. This placed Lichtfeld in the back to start the 30-lap feature, and he quickly moved through the field to second behind Dale Schultz. With 10 laps to go Lichtfeld finally maneuvered past Schultz to take the lead and his first feature win of the season. John Zuch visited Victory Lane for the heat race.

In the Pure Stock division Daron Fish set fast time with a 16.310. Adam Johnson started on the pole for the feature and hung on to the lead during the 25-lap feature to take the checkered flag. Kevin Gilding and Willy Schreiber came out on top for the heat races.

Dave Treu Sr set fast time in the Bandit division, but it was Tom Berens that had the car to beat Saturday night. Tom raced his way to a heat and feature win. Tom Roney in the United States Super Trucks picked up his first win of the season during the 25-lap feature.
