Mon Feb 9, 2009 - Shirley Ann Holmes of Pardeeville, WI passed away Saturday, February 7 2009 at her home surrounded by her loving family.
Visitation will be from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Tuesday, February 10, 2009 at Pflanz Manthey Mendrala Funeral Home in Portage, and on Wednesday at the Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Portage from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM with service following at 11:00 AM.
Shirley was born on September 9, 1936 in Denver, Colorado, the daughter of Arthur and Edna Koepp. She was married on April 7, 1956 to Robert Holmes and will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandma, and great-grandma. She was devoted to her two dogs; Pepe and Bogie. Shirley was a huge fan of racing and her crossword puzzles. She was a member of the Classic Cruizers RV club. Her and her husband, Bob owned many race cars for a lot of Central Wisconsin’s racers including their two sons, Mark and Ed, also Neil Knoblock, Tim Sauter, Jim Back, George Thorton, Cal Breeser, Chuck Hosig, and several others.
She is survived by her husband Robert of Pardeeville; her parents, Arthur and Edna Koepp of Pardeeville; one sister Betty (Jerry); three children Edward (Karla) Holmes of Dalton, Mark (Jenny) Holmes of Portage, and Lyn (Jeremey) Thomas of Pardeeville; seven grandchildren: Chad, Shawna, and Sarah Holmes, Kendra Agnew, Lisa and Nick Holmes, Tim (Vicki) Lamb; Nine grand children; other relatives, and close friends.
