Mon Jan 19, 2009 - Dells Raceway Park and Madison International Speedway will be using the Hoosier 790 tire in the Pure Stock (Dells) and Hobby Stock (MIS) divisions. Many other tracks are using this tire, and are happy with the longevity and repeatability. Additionally, it eliminates the need for new tires to improve your speed. “We have had extensive conversations with our Hoosier reps about tires for this class. 790’s have been around for a few years and work very well” says Scott Sauerbrei, Race Director at DRP. “Once the entire class begins using the same tire the playing field will be equal for all racers”. Hoosier 790’s will be available April 1st at DRP’s Tire and Gas day at a cost of $90.00 per tire. DOT street tire will remain legal for this class as long as they are available.
