WISCONSIN DELLS, WI (Saturday, August 30, 2008) - The Labor Day weekend is always a busy one for the Wisconsin Dells area and it was at Dells Raceway Park as many kids in attendance went home with a new bicycle as part of its annual bike night. The fans also saw some great ASA Member Track racing action as Ken Reiser, Skylar Holzhausen, Jim Bates, Leonard Raupp, and David Treu Sr. took home feature wins.
Reiser, a long time veteran at DRP, started third in the 50-lap feature event for the Super Late Model feature event. It didn't take long for Reiser to take the lead as he would get by Jim Carlson for the top spot on lap 4 and never look back.
Fast qualifier Dan Lensing started 12th and patiently worked his way to the front. He would get past Frank Kreyer for second lap 46 but would run out of time as Reiser would take the win over Lensing.
Jeff Kendall, who is inching towards another track championship, was third with Kreyer finishing fourth. Carlson would round out the top five.
Lensing had the fast time of the evening with a time of 13.239 seconds (90.640 mph). Tom Lichtfeld and Michael Gunderson took home the heat wins.
Holzhausen led the most important lap to win the 40-lap Limited Late Model feature.
Nick Nolden led the entire feature event while Holzhausen had to come from his tenth starting spot and marched his way through the field. Nolden was appearing to go wire-to-wire but on the last lap, Holzhausen would get him at the line by 0.119 seconds for the win.
Cardell Potter was third with Kurt Clapper in fourth. Mike Ehde rounded out the top five.
Holzhausen had the fast time with a lap of 14.311 seconds (83.851 mph) with Potter, Clapper and Fritz picking up the wins.
Bates held off a last lap challenge for the Super Stock feature win.
Bates would get the lead from Terry Knupp on lap 6 and not look back. He would hold off two of the best in the division as he beat Travis Hancock by 0.132 seconds and Mike Lichtfeld by 0.155 seconds for the win.
Corey Jankowski was fourth with Phil Smith rounding out the top five.
Lichtfeld set the fast time in the division with a lap time of 14.713 seconds (81.560 mph). Tim Ambrose and Smith won the heat races.
Raupp had to work his way through the field to claim the Pure Stock feature win.

Ron Grabarski was third with Brad Luck in fourth. Rebecca Grabarski rounded out the top-five.
