WISCONSIN DELLS, Wis. (September 6, 2011) - Season Championships, Super Late Models and the Fast Dash Clash. Oh my! Due to this past Saturday's rainout and an already full plate, fans of Dells Raceway Park will get more than their money's worth of racing on Season Championship this Saturday night.

The Wegner Automotive Research Fast Dash Clash, which was scheduled to be run this past Saturday, will be the final event of Season Championship Night. Twelve of the best Budweiser Late Models will scramble for 20 laps with a $2,000 prize awaiting the winner. The cash bonus, courtesy of Wegner Automotive Research, is the largest top prize of any weekly Late Model event in the Upper Midwest.

Those drivers who do not cash in on the big pay day will not go away empty handed. Several sponsors donated cash and contingency sponsorships to reward all who participate. Including the top prize from Wegner, over $7,200 worth of cash and prizes is up for grabs.

Prior to the season-ending event the Late Models will crown a 2011 season champion. Due to consistency and hard-charging through the field on a weekly basis, Rich Schumann Jr. holds a 78 point advantage over Mike Lichtfeld. Schumann needs only to start the B Feature to secure the title.

While Schumann has his second track championship well in hand, the second through eleventh spots may see a major facelift by the time the checkered flag falls. Mike Lichtfeld holds a two-point advantage over Davey Pennel for the runner-up spot and a nine-point advantage over fourth place Jesse Bernhagen. Corey Jankowski lurks back in fifth only 24 points out of second.

Also adding to the excitement for fans will be the fifth and final round of the Alive For Five Super Late Model Series presented by Advanced Engine Concepts. Frank Kreyer holds a 42-point advantage on Jeff Storm atop the standings in the Super Late Models.

With increasing car counts each time the Super Late Models have been a part of the program at DRP, officials are expecting the largest car count of the season this Saturday. Among the expected new entries will be Michael Bilderback of South Beloit, Ill., who dominated in a feature win this Sunday at Slinger Speedway, and Andy Monday of Appleton, Wis., who set multiple fast times on his way to finishing sixth in points in an ultra-competitive Super Late Model field at Wisconsin International Raceway.

An expected entry list for Alive For Five Super Late Model Series Round Five will be released later this week.

With those two championships headlining the night, battles are still brewing in the RacingOnline.com Sportsman, Schultz Small Engine Pure Stocks, and Fire Rescue Supply Bandits.

In the Sportsman Scott Luck is on the verge of grabbing the Championship in the division's second year of existence with a 49-point edge over Mike Winters.

Dave Trute is poised to repeat over his car owner Bill Zeman in the Pure Stocks with a 33-point lead. However, Trute will be busy wheeling a Super Late Model. He will hand over driving duties to the capable Jeff Burrows, who already has secured a feature win this season subbing for Trute.

Over the second half of the season 14-year-old Haley Kapp has been surging to the top of the point standings in the Bandits. She sits 39 points behind Steven Rozek. Rozek, who dominated early in the season to build up his point lead, is seeking his first championship in the division.

Qualifying for an action-packed Season Championship Night begins at 4:30 on Saturday with racing scheduled to begin at 6:30.

As a salute to those who have sacrificed and in remembrance of the 10th anniversary of the Sept. 11 attacks, all Active Military and Public Safety Officials will receive free admission this Saturday by presenting their I.D. or credentials.

Dells Raceway Park is located at N1070 Smith Road, five minutes north of downtown Wisconsin Dells, Wis., off highway 12-16. For more information including the latest news, the 2011 schedule and more visit www.dellsracewaypark.com.
