DELLS RACEWAY PARK SUPER LATE MODEL NEWS AND NOTES

WISCONSIN DELLS, Wis. (July 11, 2011) - After careful consultation with several engine builders and representatives familiar with Holley Performance Carburetors, official representatives of the Alive For Five Super Late Model Series have overturned Frank Kreyer's disqualification from Round Two.

The carburetor in question was originally disqualified for having what seemed to be altered boosters. However, the carburetor was purchased prior to the 2004 season, when Holley adjusted its specifications. Through consultation with the engine-building representatives, AFF representatives determined the boosters, in fact, were up to the specifications of Holley from the time of purchase.

Updated results and standings from the July 1 event are available on the Dells Raceway Park Web site.

More Super Lates Welcome

Contrary to several rumors circulating, drivers who have not joined the Alive for Five Super Late Model Series yet in 2011 are still welcome to join.

Drivers who originally joined the Super Late Model foundation paid a one-time $1,000 fee (an average of $200 per race) and received a total of 10 tires (a $1250 value), 20 pit passes (a $600 value) and 10 sponsor VIP passes (a $250 value) to be used in the five-race series. With his win in Round One and second-place finish in Round 2, Frank Kreyer has already accumulated $900 in payoff as a return on his $1,000 investment.

All monies collected for the Super Late Models have stayed in their account and are being placed in a points fund.

Any driver who wishes to join for a race can pay into the foundation at a one-time $250 fee. The fee includes two tires (a $250 value), 4 pit passes (a $120 value) and 2 sponsor VIPs. Drivers who finish in the top seven of the feature are eligible for payout.

Drivers who have questions can contact the track office at 608-253-7223 or driver representative Tom Lichtfeld at 608-697-5341.

Rule Updates

Representatives of the Alive For Five Series have made several adjustments to the weight rules in an attempt to increase competition.

Crate motor cars that were previously at 2,500 pounds will now be required to weigh a minimum of 2,600. Drivers using ACE and 9-1 Engines will have a new minimum weight of 2,700 pounds and will be allowed a left/right weight bias of 60% / 40%.

Round Three of the Alive for Five Super Late Model Series presented by Advanced Engine Concepts is scheduled for July 23.
