WISCONSIN DELLS, Wis. (May 25, 2011) - Two of the most respected Midwestern-based Short Track Racing companies have jumped on board with the Dells Raceway Park Super Late Models. Coleman Racing Products and Five Star Stock Car Bodies both agreed to contingency programs Wednesday.
The agreements come just days before Round One of the Alive for Five Super Late Model Series presented by Advanced Engine Concepts at DRP.
Five Star Race Car Bodies will show its support for the Super Late Models by donating a $100 Hard Luck Award to be given away at each of the five Alive For Five events. In the past, Five Star has made generous donations to DRP, and has supported tracks and racing organizations all around the country.
Coleman Racing Products will award the first AFF Champion with a complete set of brake rotors and pads worth over $1,500. Coleman will also donate a jacket to the 2011 titlist.
As well as showing its support with a contingency program, several Super Late Models from the Coleman camp will be joining the Alive For Five Series. Most have reported they will not be ready for Round One, but will join in Rounds Two through Five.
The return of Super Late Model racing to Dells Raceway Park begins this Saturday, May 28 at 6:30 p.m. Alive For Five Round One will feature heat races, a "5 for 5" fast dash and a 55-lap feature event.
