Wisconsin Dells, Wis. (May 21, 2011) - Opening Night at Dells Raceway Park presented by Gawronski Signs and Advertising has been canceled due to lingering showers and thunderstorms in the area. The Automotion Burnout contest will not be rescheduled.

Dells Raceway Park will open its 49th season with a bang on Memorial Day weekend with two events.

Next Saturday, May 28 will see a return of the Super Late Models in the Alive For Five Super Late Model Series presented by Advanced Engine Concepts. The Super Late Models will join all four weekly divisions in an action-packed show.

Saturday will also mark the first Kids' Bike Night and the debut of one-on-one Spectator Drag Racing.

On Sunday DRP hosts Memorial Day May-hem. In a new twist for 2011 all race events will take place through a figure 8. Bus races, trailer races, skid plate races and relay races join the Demolition Devil, Hedgehog Stunt ATV team and Extreme Stunt Biker Joey B.

There will be no additional cost for admission for either event. Adult tickets are $10, Seniors and Youth are $7 and 9 and under are free.

Fan gates open at 3 p.m. on Saturday and 4 p.m. on Sunday. Racing begins at 6:30 p.m. Saturday and 6 p.m. Sunday.
